I have served as a volunteer at The Honeywell Foundation for over three decades. I initially began assisting Jayne Rice, then the Educational Outreach Manager, with office related tasks, and later began ushering for shows and other events. As The Honeywell Foundation continued to grow and expand, so did my volunteerism. I joined the Honeywell team as part-time Show Manager running volunteer operations behind the scenes. I have especially enjoyed working the Page-to-Stage Student Matinees and seeing the joy and excitement on the children's faces as they enter the Honeywell Center. Many of our local children do not have opportunities to experience the arts such as those provided by The Honeywell Foundation. When I was first asked to consider establishing a Charitable Gift Annuity at The Honeywell Foundation, it was an easy decision for me. I realized this was another opportunity for me to contribute to the good work of The Honeywell Foundation, and the annuity payments would help supplement my income for life. I was surprised to learn that the gift annuity rates were higher than CD or money market rates. I am extremely pleased with my Charitable Gift Annuity and knowing that my gift will help provide exciting arts opportunities to young and old for generations to come.
